Friday, November 10 is Last Day for Team Waste Pickup of Non-HCUA Carts

Friday, November 10 is Last Day for Team Waste Pickup of Non-HCUA Carts

Harrison County residents serviced by HCUA are reminded tomorrow’s service day, Friday, November 10, is the last day that garbage or recycling placed in non-HCUA issued carts will be picked up by the new contractor, Team Waste.

Starting Monday, November 13 on all routes in Biloxi, D'Iberville, Long Beach, Pass Christian and the unincorporated areas of Harrison County, only garbage or recycling placed in HCUA or Team Waste carts will be picked up. No other carts or bins will be serviced.  In order to be picked up, all materials must be contained within the HCUA/Team Waste provided carts.

Residents are asked to make sure their garbage is in the correct cart. Trash that is put in a non-HCUA/Team Waste cart will need to be transferred by the customer to the current HCUA/Team Waste carts before it will be picked up.  Failure to do so by the scheduled service day may result in delayed or missed pick up.

Residents, who still have old carts they no longer want, are asked to put them upside down and empty by the curb for pickup.

Starting Monday, our trash contractor, Pelican Waste, will remove any discarded, non-Waste Pro carts (from other vendors / contractors) on their normal trash routes provided they are empty and upside down or in a trash/debris pile. Waste Pro will continue to be responsible for the pick-up of their carts.
